What does Oppo like in terms of interior cleaners and protectants? The S2000 has a lot of hard matte plastic surfaces, and some padded vinyl.

I use this and have been happy with it. You don’t get that Armor All shiny awfulness and it keeps the interior looking good.

I use McGuire’s quick interior detailer as it finishes dry. I hate the glossy (armor all) look of most car interior cleaners.

Is there anything that I can use that repels dust? My 2016 Forester XT is my dog-mobile, and it gets dusty all over a day after I clean it.

For leather, I like Lexol. It’s not expensive and helps keep the natural hide soft and supple. That’s what the leather shop manager recommends and it’s quick and easy in the spray bottles. DON’T EVER USE ANYTHING WITH SILICONE ON LEATHER!

It soaks into the material and leaves it stiff and dry.

Mostly Duragloss 451. Works well on carpet, which is what it’s formulated for, but can also be used on plastics and other surfaces.

Rust shards, pieces of wire wheel, dust, poorly welded sheet metal, and rhinoliner. Anything else is for amateurs.

For interior cleaning of plastics I use Gtechniq I2, which is an all round cleaner for plastic, vinyl and leather. There is also I2ab for an anti-bacterial cleaner. Then Gtechniq C6 which is an interior protectant, it restores the natural lustre of the interior surface for that new car interior look and non glossy. It’s non greasy and non tacky meaning it also won’t draw dust to the surface. It’s also a UV protectant to protect from UV bleaching of the interior surface. Lasts for six months between applications.

I avoid anything that leaves the seating surfaces slick, such as leather restorer. Because sliding when cornering. . .

Yeah, I’m still trying to figure out the best way to deal with my slick leather seats.

I personally have cut way down on interior products. My car is cloth, but a good leather cleaner and conditioner combo is the only thing I don’t need. I just like to vacuum and dust. Any sticky, dirty or oily residue can be cleaned effectively with a medium to stiff brush and/or microfiber and spray bottle with soapy water. It’s good on any surface, even switches and what not if you’re careful. Then, I clean windows with the corn starch and water method. Take a bucket of cold water, add a tablespoon or two of corn starch and soak microfiber in the bucket. Then, wash your windows and buff completely dry with the softest towel you have available. You wont ever have any streaks. It’s an incredibly easy and effective way to clean glass.

I wound up getting fuzzy seat slipcovers and they work OK, but I’m still cursing myself for the super-slick leather conditioner that I was unable to remove. . .

I like using my vinyl top cleaner on everything. That and windex on the seats, dashboard, steering wheel, door cards. Seems to work well enough to get dirt, dust, and pollen off. I love the smell of leather conditioner though so I definitely use it when not autocrossing.
